Different types of peanut processing machinery
Peanut processing involves various processes such as shelling, cleaning and roasting. There is a peanut processing machinery that is responsible for each step of the production process. The peanut cleaner has a charging spout, a driving part, a brush roll, a vibration sieve as well as a drainage facility. This ensures that the peanuts are cleaned and that as few peanuts as possible are crashed. There is also convenient discharge of sewage in order to ensure that there is no pollution of the environment in the entire process.
Another type of peanut processing machinery is the peanut sheller which can sometimes hold a capacity of about one thousand kilograms per hour and it requires about three to four workers to operate it. The machinery shells more than ninety nine per cent of the peanuts and less than five per cent of the peanuts are crushed in the process or damaged by the machine.
Other machinery include the peanut sieve and the peanut drier. Examples of equipment used to harvest the peanut are the peanut digger, the peanut planter and the combine harvester. All these equipment help in the processing of peanuts from the harvesting stage to when they line the shelves of stores or the tables of consumers from all over the world and they make it easier and faster to process the peanuts.
